Applying multi-method approaches to assess operations and programs to improve officer and community safety and justice
Our team is dedicated to understanding the strategies, practices, and technologies that make law enforcement more effective. Working with police and government clients, we merge our knowledge of criminology with technical and statistical expertise to find solutions to the complex problems and issues that officers and departments face. Analyzing data is a crucial aspect of modern law enforcement, and we have developed several open-source software tools for clients who share our evidence-based approach.
By studying the economics of justice and racial and ethnic disparities in sentencing, we are learning more about trends and developments that affect individuals, families, and communities. Using these insights, we also develop techniques aimed at enhancing legitimacy and trust in law enforcement and justice agencies.
