Creating pathways to education and careers
Preparing people for career and life success requires changing how we educate, train, and develop youth and adults. It means ensuring that individuals possess the knowledge and skills to enter postsecondary education and the workforce, and have options for strengthening these capabilities over the course of their careers.
Domestically, our applied research and customized technical assistance promote the development of public and private policies and programs that strengthen secondary and postsecondary career technical, adult, and workforce education services. We are committed to helping individuals realize their personal and professional goals, and organizations and society achieve economic growth and increased effectiveness.
Internationally, our comprehensive, evidence-based economic and workforce development programs help to create employment opportunities for women, youth, and disadvantaged populations in developing countries. We build local capacity to design and implement systems that align education and training with employer needs.
