Developing curricula and empowering teachers to achieve better learning outcomes
We provide teachers and school administrators with tools, training, and coaching strategies needed to improve teaching and, ultimately, learning outcomes for all students—while paying attention to gender, disability, and other marginalizing statuses. As recognized leaders in international education, our goal is to ensure that girls and boys learn to read—starting with the first two years of schooling—and that they are given access to quality early childhood development and learning experiences prior to entering primary school. We introduce proven methods and tools that encourage a focus on reading and mathematics as critical enablers for success across the curriculum.
We help governments develop evidence-based early-grade reading and mathematics curricula and introduce materials that support skills development and cultivate a love of learning. We deliver explicit guidance and ongoing coaching for teachers and help parents and communities understand their critical role in children's learning.
We design, implement, and evaluate technologies that support learning assessments, curriculum development, learners with disabilities, teacher training and coaching, school management, and capacity building for education systems at all levels.
