Universities and Research Institutions

As the cornerstone tenant of Research Triangle Park—which serves as a research/technology model for other regions—we have a long record of collaborating with research universities and institutions. We extend our capabilities through collaborative project work with faculty, scholars, staff, and students to better serve our clients and contribute to scientific scholarship.

We routinely partner with leading academic institutions across the United States and around the world through programs such as the RTI University Scholars Program, which provides support for distinguished academic researchers to spend scholarly leave time at RTI International to actively collaborate with our experts.

The University Collaboration Office (UCO) leverages university collaborations to advance growth in RTI’s impact, innovation, scientific stature, and financial strength. The UCO facilitates bilateral and multilateral collaboration, including Forethought: RTI’s $5M+ Research Collaboration Challenge; manages the RTI University Scholars Program; provides business intelligence about universities; and brings visibility to RTI capabilities on university campuses while serving as a connector for proposals and projects.
