A recognized leader in public health and environmental risk assessment, we develop cutting-edge approaches to predicting and characterizing risk. As an independent, nonprofit research institute, we are uniquely positioned to provide an unbiased risk assessment, collaborate with stakeholder groups, evaluate risk mitigation techniques, and provide quantitative risk reduction recommendations.
We lead projects that link environmental and public health problems to their associated causes, and subsequently identify and implement risk mitigation strategies. We develop methods, models, and data to help our clients quantify potential risks to individuals, populations, and sensitive subpopulations. We also develop decision support systems that provide a systematic approach to risk-based decision making and resource allocation.
We engage our clients through the design and implementation of each risk assessment to ensure that we are providing the highest quality research in support of the risk management process.
