Creating mobile-friendly, open-source applications for collecting and managing data in areas with limited Internet connectivity
By bringing effective information and communication technologies (ICT) solutions to areas with limited infrastructure and only intermittent Internet access, we make it easier to aid health intervention efforts, manage patient data, and conduct education assessments in the field.
Using our versatile Coconut open-source software platform, we create tailored data collection and data management applications for clients to use on mobile devices and desktop and laptop computers. Coconut stores data locally and synchronizes to a remote database when a network connection becomes available. Building from this platform, our applications help clients record student responses in oral early grade reading and mathematics assessments, conduct malaria surveillance, help midwives collect and manage patient data, and more.
