Promoting Community Violence Intervention (CVI) Success: Meaningful Measures and Effective Communication

Nancy La Vigne, Director of the National Institute of Justice, will lead a webinar that discusses strategies to use data, performance measurement, and inclusive research to develop and evaluate CVI programs and communicate their impact. The webinar will include a roundtable discussion with renowned researchers on community violence intervention and prevention projects, highlighting the benefits of partnerships among community members, program developers, and program evaluators as well as lessons learned from participatory action research.

This webinar is part of the Implementing Community Based Violence Intervention Strategies webinar series, which highlights a wide range of issues important to implementing successful CVI strategies. The series is in support of the Office of Justice Program’s (OJP) Community Based Violence Intervention and Prevention Initiative (CVIPI), a recently launched program that will provide significant federal investment in evidence-informed strategies to reduce violence through tailored community-centered initiatives.
