RTI is proud to be a Diamond Sponsor of the International Society of Exposure Science 2017 Annual Meeting, which focuses on Integrating Exposure Science Across Diverse Communities.
The International Society of Exposure Science (ISES) “promotes and advances exposure science (methods, measurements, models) as it relates to the complex inter-relationships between human populations, communities, ecosystems, wildlife, and chemical, biological, and physical agents, and non-chemical stressors.”
RTI has developed a robust exposure science program that combines expertise in public health, engineering, chemistry, microbiology, and toxicology to provide multi-disciplinary solutions to contaminant exposure research. We collaborate with government agencies, commercial clients, and universities to understand and address research challenges—including inhalation exposures that exacerbate respiratory disease, population-level exposure and risk assessment models, and infectious disease transmission and outcomes.
Jonathan Thornburg, Director of Exposure and Aerosol Technology at RTI, was honored to serve as a member of the Technical Organizing Committee for the 2017 ISES Annual Meeting. “This is a premier event for those of us in the exposure science research community. Over the course of the week, we will have an excellent opportunity to share ideas, learn what others are doing to advance exposure science, and educate others about RTI’s capabilities in this increasingly important field of study.”
RTI’s Brian Southwell will lead a plenary session titled Challenges and Opportunities in Public Engagement Regarding Environmental Exposure. Southwell is the Program Director of Science in the Public Sphere within the Center for Communication Science.
