Jana Scislowicz

Jana Scislowicz is an international development and international education specialist with 19 years of experience working on projects in a variety of roles, ranging from home office management to in-country leadership. Ms. Scislowicz is currently the Chief of Party for the USAID–funded Inclusive Primary Education Activity (IPEA) in Cambodia.  Prior to this, she was the Deputy Chief of Party of Systems Strengthening and Operations for IPEA. She also worked in Tanzania for three years, leading operations of the USAID–funded Tusome Pamoja (Let’s Read Together) program. 

Since joining RTI in 2010, Ms. Scislowicz has also served on the senior management team of RTI’s International Education Division as the Senior Project Operations Manager. In this capacity, she oversaw division-wide operational support to projects and managed a team of 10 project management specialists. In addition to her operational and financial management expertise, Ms. Scislowicz has technical experience in education evaluation and research. She has managed multiple large-scale Early Grade Reading Assessments (EGRAs) and Early Grade Mathematics Assessments (EGMAs) in multiple countries in Africa, including the leadership of tool adaptation workshops, assessor trainings, and school-based data collections. Most recently, she conducted research in Cambodia for her master’s capstone thesis project on the motivational factors influencing school-based mentors and master mentors during their first year performing this role. 

Ms. Scislowicz is an ambitious and adaptable leader with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to succeed in multicultural work environments. She is adept at managing large-scale programs, developing systems, and collaborating with diverse teams in complex environments. Her technical expertise includes education program design, evaluation, implementation oversight, operations management, regulatory compliance, process improvement, training, capacity building, system strengthening, and program coordination.
