Ina Aquino

A native Filipina, Ms. Aquino brings more than 14 years’ experience leading, implementing, and managing basic education programs in complex and conflict-affected environments, including in Mindanao, South Sudan, and Timor-Leste. 

Ms. Aquino currently serves as the Chief of Party for the ABC+: Advancing Basic Education in the Philippines project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Prior to RTI, Ms. Aquino spent seven years on the USAID-funded Education Quality and Access for Learning and Livelihood Skills (EQuALLS) program, leading teacher professional development in reading, math, English, and science instruction.  For the Norwegian Refugee Council, she managed a program in South Sudan, focused on improving access and quality of education. She has also led a team of 70 staff to support accessible education facilities and quality resources for elementary students and out-of-school youth in Muslim Mindanao, and was directly responsible for the basic education improvement and technical vocational training/skills development for out-of-school youth and  the M&E components.
