Hika Alemu Dinssa leads the Collaboration, Learning and Adapting (CLA) activities for the five-year USAID-funded Feed the Future Community Nutrition Activity, in collaboration with FHI 360. In this role, he facilitates development of the learning agenda and adaptive management approach and coordinates closely with technical and regional teams to ensure that information is continuously collected and shared. 

Mr. Hika is an International Development professional with a master’s degree in development economics. He has over 19 years of proven experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning and Adapting (MELA), project management, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, data quality assessment, project supervision, and project evaluation. His monitoring and evaluation experience spans programs in livelihoods, economic strengthening, food security, HIV/AIDS, youth empowerment, child protection, gender, and education. 

Prior to joining RTI, Mr. Hika worked for international non-governmental organizations such as Plan International and Population Council as well as USAID-funded consulting firms including Social Impact and Management System International. While at these organizations, he held both leadership and technical advisory roles as Acting Chief of Party, Senior Program MELA Manager, and MELA Specialist.

Mr. Hika is trained in data science and skilled in software applications including SPSS, InfoPath, ODK, SurveyMonkey, Excel, Access, Publisher, STATA, EpiInfo, Microsoft, Google drive, and SharePoint management. He is familiar with policies and procedures of bilateral, multilateral, private donors, USAID, and the U.K.’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
