Gavin Allman (he/him) is a health policy analyst on the Health Systems Strengthening team in RTI’s Global Health Division. He researches and develops actionable strategies for health policymakers and program implementors in low- and middle-income countries.

To guide effective policymaking and investment, Gavin evaluates the economic and social burdens of disease and models the cost-effectiveness of health interventions. He also uses qualitative research methods to understand barriers and facilitators of effective program implementation. Gavin disseminates RTI research findings through policy briefs, project reports, investment cases, and educational blogs.

Prior to joining RTI, Gavin served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Nicaragua and South Africa, running health education and life skills programs for adolescents. He holds a Master of Public Policy from Duke University, where he wrote a thesis on unpaid caregiving which was later published in the Lancet Commission on Women, Power, and Cancer.
