Beth Hustedt

Beth Hustedt is a justice researcher whose qualitative work focuses on pretrial processes, indigent defense models, the collateral consequences of conviction, and restorative justice practices. She also conducts policy-oriented research and recently led an effort to analyze the components of state criminal record clearing laws. 

Beth has worked on projects for the U.S. Department of Justice and for various local agencies, organizations, and foundations. Her findings have been published and presented in technical reports, peer-reviewed journal articles, and at national conferences.  

Prior to joining RTI in 2015, Beth served as a deputy legislative counsel to a state legislature. She has been a member of the Oregon State Bar Association since 2005.
