Anna Perkinson

Anna Perkinson is a senior program manager for the Energy Division within RTI's International Development Group (IDG). She currently serves as the program manager for the USAID Mexico Partnership for Net Zero Cities and the USAID Caribbean Energy Sector Reform Project, where she oversees a range of activities related to operations, administration, and technical implementation for both projects.  

Previously, Ms. Perkinson served as the cross-cutting team lead of eight technical experts on the Power Africa Off-grid Project which aims to create 6 million off-grid connections in 12 countries across Sub-Saharan Africa. She oversaw all activities related to productive uses of energy, gender, monitoring and evaluation, market dynamics, and environment. She led the implementation of a wide range of activities for both on- and off-grid energy projects, including productive uses of energy grants, monitoring and evaluation, environmental impact assessments, gender planning and assessment, and general project coordination and management. 

Ms. Perkinson began her international development career working on waste management and landfill gas-to-energy projects in Latin America and the Caribbean. She then led the implementation of various Global Methane Initiative projects aimed at reducing methane emissions from solid waste and wastewater through technical assistance and capacity building. She also led environmental impact evaluation, mitigation, and compliance activities for multiple large USAID-funded energy programs around the world. Ms. Perkinson has worked in more than 15 countries across Latin America, Asia, and Africa. She is fluent in Spanish.
