The early years of a child's life set the stage for healthy development and positive long-term outcomes. Therefore it is important for development practitioners to accurately assess critical factors affecting a child's development such as executive function, social emotional learning, and language and literacy, particularly for the 250 million children worldwide who do not get a healthy start because of poor nutrition, a lack of early stimulation, and risk factors associated with poverty.
RTI is pleased to invite you to a symposium bringing together some of the leading thinkers and researchers in the field of early childhood development assessment. Our diverse panel of experts in child development, nutrition, language and literacy, developmental psychology, education and assessment will explore new and innovative developmental assessment tools and approaches for children aged 0-8. Our panelists will address the state of the field of early childhood assessment with a focus on the role of culture in influencing child development and the way it is measured.
Audience Q&A sessions and a networking reception will also take place.
