COP26 | UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties
Date
Join RTI International at COP26, where our experts are attending as a partner to The Climate Registry delegation.
COP26 is the 2021 United Nations climate change conference. For nearly three decades the UN has been bringing together almost every country for global climate summits. In that time climate change has gone from being a fringe issue to a global priority. This year, international leaders, industry leaders, the scientific community, and others will come together to work towards the following goals:
- Secure global net zero by mid-century and keep 1.5 degrees within reach
- Adapt to protect communities and natural habitats
- Mobilize finance
- Work together to deliver attainable solutions
Our work will accelerate following COP26 as we help our clients and partners to assess and implement strategies that can help deliver upon the goals discussed at the conference. Our self-funded research will look at critical issues creating evidence-based learnings that will help us to innovate, catalyze actions, and scale up climate solutions. Through our newly-launched Center for Climate Solutions, we will share our insights for getting to the net zero carbon levels where science tells us we need to be.
