Unlock Actionable Insights with User-Focused Data Visualization Solutions | RTI Tech Talk Webinar
Date
Data is the foundation for everything that federal, state, and local government agencies do, making it more important than ever to ensure that it is accessible and visually appealing. This enables users to efficiently make evidence-based decisions, inform policy, and guide future research priorities. How can digital solutions—such as dashboards, maps, reports, and tools—quickly transform your complex data into actionable insights?
During the Unlock Actionable Insights with User-Focused Data Visualization Solutions webinar, RTI experts explored fit-for-purpose solutions that prioritize intuitive interfaces and real-time, customizable, and interactive data visualizations to make information actionable. Panelists discussed their processes for applying user-centered design principles across a variety of digital data solutions to quickly produce valuable insights on health equity, postsecondary outcomes, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) participation, and substance use and suicide prevention.
Hear results from data visualization case studies on how:
- the RTI Rarity™ project overlays datasets on an interactive map to identify local social determinants of health and showcase how resources should be allocated to amplify community impact;
- the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard is providing a wealth of data to inform postsecondary decision-making through a user-friendly website;
- the National Science Foundation’s Missing Millions Dashboard is tracking progress towards its goal of broadening participation in STEM using an internal dashboard; and
- the Georgia Strategic Prevention System Data Warehouse links data across agencies to supply policymakers and providers with a one-stop shop for relevant, up-to-date substance use, suicide, and mental health data.
