Emily Thompson supports U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) programs focused on PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) site modeling and data gap analysis, food waste pre-processing technology evaluation, solid waste system resilience, and greenhouse gas emissions inventory development. She serves as a technical lead or subject matter expert on selected tasks, helping manage technical approach, report development, data review, and client response work. 

Ms. Thompson's work includes evaluating PFAS monitoring data and site conditions, identifying data gaps, assessing innovative food waste diversion and treatment technologies, and developing technical reports, memoranda, and client-ready deliverables. She also contributes to EPA’s greenhouse gas reporting and inventory work for municipal solid waste landfills, industrial wastewater treatment, industrial solid waste landfills, composters, and anaerobic digesters.
