RTI International to provide commercialization and market readiness support for ARPA-H
RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has been awarded a five-year contract by the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a newly launched federal agency that supports the development of high-impact research to drive biomedical and health breakthroughs and deliver transformative, sustainable and equitable health solutions for all.
RTI and its partners will assist ARPA-H and its clients by leveraging deep scientific, technical, regulatory and commercial expertise to support ARPA-H leadership and program managers from program conception through commercialization and strategic guidance to advance the agency’s goals. The partnership will allow RTI to meet diverse needs to launch new health technologies.
“We are thrilled to partner with ARPA-H as they deliver new solutions that will change lives through their highly innovative approach,” said Ivy Estabrooke, Ph.D., a senior innovation policy strategist at RTI. “We are poised to share our technical expertise, commercialization and product launch experience to support ARPA-H as they address today’s most significant health challenges through transformative research.”
RTI’s role will also include:
- Offering data-driven recommendations for ARPA-H leadership and program managers to assist in identifying impactful unmet needs, emerging technology and potential partners
- Providing analyses and recommendations to ensure health disparities are considered in program design
- Leveraging its expertise in commercialization, market readiness, regulatory approval and market access to support ARPA-H program managers in leadership as they establish the initial programs
The partnership builds on RTI’s work for many government agencies, industry and public-private partnerships to advance human health through the development and launch of new health technologies.
