Ivy Estabrooke

Ivy Estabrooke brings more than 20 years of experience accelerating the development and adoption of emerging technologies. Her professional interests focus on technology commercialization, innovation ecosystem development, and optimizing funding mechanisms to promote novel and useful science. At RTI she has led diverse projects supporting clients at the intersections of national security, health technology, economic development and innovation.

Prior to joining RTI, Ivy held leadership roles in the public and private sector. Most recently, she led operations and corporate affairs for a venture backed university spin-out in the infectious disease space. She led Utah’s technology based economic development through a pivot, aligning strategy and program design with legislative intent and delivering increased economic impact. As a program officer for the Office of Naval Research, she established a social and computational modeling portfolio that delivered transformative technologies to the Department of Defense, Department of State and the intelligence community. She has served as a non-executive director for public, private and non-profit boards.

As a recognized expert in innovation practices, she has been a member of multiple National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine studies, NATO Science and Technology organization studies and workshops, and a speaker on the role of public funding of science.
