Martin Meyer is the Director of Data Processing and Security for the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH). NSDUH is a 50-state multimode survey that provides a primary source of drug use and mental health data in the U.S.

With over 20 years of experience designing, programming, and supporting complex software and systems, Dr. Meyer has contributed significantly to pioneering data collection efforts since joining RTI in 1998. He has worked with mobile technologies as they evolved, starting with the early Apple Newton MessagePad, through Windows Mobile PDAs, Android tablets, and now multimode data collection on modern devices of all kinds. He has 10 years of experience managing large software development teams, specializing in mobile application design and implementation, relational database design, multi-tier client-server system architecture, and user interface design. He is also well versed in federal data security standards and guidelines. He authors and maintains IT and system security plans, and guides employers and clients through formal system accreditation and Authority to Operate review.
