Chunyang Jin

Chunyang Jin, PhD, has more than 20 years of experience in synthetic organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry. He leads a program on the development of medications for CNS disorders targeting G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs).

Dr. Jin has conducted medicinal chemistry lead optimization campaigns for a variety of biological ligands and receptors. His current research focuses on the development of small-molecule probes for the study of GPCRs, including the orphan receptors GPR88 and GPR139, the neuropeptide receptor RXFP3, and the beta-3 adrenergic receptor ADRB3. Dr. Jin’s research is supported by funding from the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, and the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke.

Dr. Jin has published more than 50 peer-reviewed publications and presented at many national meetings. He is an active member of the Society for Neuroscience, American Chemical Society, and Research Society on Alcoholism.
