Ivy Estabrooke named to US Air Force Science and Technology Roundtable

Estabrooke brings more than 15 years of experience accelerating the development and adoption of emerging technologies


RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — Ivy Estabrooke, Ph.D., a senior innovation policy strategist at RTI International, has been appointed to the to the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Science and Technology Roundtable, recently established by the National Academies of Science, Engineering and Medicine (NASEM).   

The roundtable features diverse representatives from government, industry and academia with expertise in the science and engineering disciplines.

Members will meet quarterly to consider challenges and opportunities associated with DAF’s science and technology mission requirements and the research priorities of the Air Force Research Lab. They will also review specific processes and procedures that foster rapid delivery of priority warfighter capabilities and provide feedback on DAF plans for promoting an organic science and engineering workforce.

Estabrooke brings more than 15 years of experience accelerating the development and adoption of emerging technologies. Her professional interests focus on technology commercialization, innovation ecosystem development and optimizing funding mechanisms to promote novel and useful science.

Prior to joining RTI, Estabrooke held leadership roles in the public and private sector. As a program officer for the Office of Naval Research, she established a social and computational modeling portfolio that delivered transformative technologies to the Department of Defense, Department of State and the intelligence community.
