Madison Lee is an environmental scientist at RTI’s Center for Environmental Health, Risk, and Sustainability. Ms. Lee’s work focuses on issues of environmental contamination and human health. Ms. Lee has extensive experience in environmental health, epidemiology, exposure science, data science, and public health. Within those experience, Ms. Lee has communicated scientific results to both technical and non-technical audiences through various media.

Currently, Ms. Lee supports the Clean Classrooms for Carolina Kids program as the technical coordinator. Additionally, she also supports work focused on environmental exposure and fate and transport of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) and other chemical contaminants.

Prior to joining RTI in 2022, Ms. Lee served as an environmental health scientist at ICF, where she supported federal contracts with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. Lee largely contributed to the systematic review efforts to support the proposed maximum contaminant level goals for perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) in drinking water. Additionally, she supported other systematic literature reviews for the assessment of epidemiological and toxicological studies on disinfection byproducts, lead, and other chemical contaminants.
