Kaitlin Dixon is a research public health analyst at RTI with more than 10 years of experience in communications strategy, media relations, content development, and website and social media management. Ms. Dixon has spent the majority of her career in health communication and is driven by the public’s need for clear, concise health information. She is adept at creating communication strategies and materials that reach and engage multiple diverse audiences, translating complex information into plain language, and collecting and analyzing social media data.

Ms. Dixon leads a team in developing social media content and interactive digital products for We Think Twice™, a digital media campaign funded by the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH) that is designed with teens, for teens. The We Think Twice campaign focuses on empowering youth to form healthy relationships and make smart decisions. Ms. Dixon also co-leads communication strategy for the Learning, Advancing, Understanding, Nurturing, and Collaborating Hub (Launch) Accelerator, a program funded by the Office of Population Affairs (OPA) that supports innovation teams working to reduce disparities in sexual health outcomes among youth. In addition, she contributes to content strategy and creation for the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH’s) Researching COVID to Enhance Recovery (RECOVER) initiative, which aims to understand, diagnose, treat, and prevent Long COVID. 

Prior to joining RTI in 2023, Ms. Dixon led communication strategy for Holmusk, a data analytics and technology startup company focused on leveraging real-world evidence to improve treatments for mental health and substance use disorders. She also previously worked at the Duke Clinical Research Institute, where she served in content creation and media relations support roles for projects funded by the NIH and U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Ms. Dixon is a member of the American Public Health Association (APHA).
