Jeffrey Petrusa is a Senior Economist who specializes in the development and application of economic models to analyze the impacts of environmental, energy, waste transportation and agriculture policies on the energy, waste, agriculture, transportation and the economic impacts of greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation technologies on projected GHG emissions.

Mr. Petrusa recently completed an Impact Analysis of Alternative Transportation Policy in North Carolina, a research project sponsored by the Environmental Defense Fund. In addition to his transportation modeling work, Mr. Petrusa develops bottom-up economic models for the Global Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gas Emissions Projections & Mitigation project under the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Climate Change Division. Mr. Petrusa is an expert at developing greenhouse gas marginal abatement cost curves and techno-economic models for renewable energy and greenhouse gas mitigation technologies. He also provides energy and transportation system modeling and analysis.

Mr. Petrusa uses his expertise to contribute to environmental publications. He was the lead author on several reports prepared for the EPA. These include the Global Non-CO2 Greenhouse Gas Emission Projections & Mitigation 2015-2050 and Marginal Abatement Cost Analysis: Methodology Documentation. He also prepared the Economic Impact Analysis of Clean Energy Development in North Carolina – 2020 for the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association. His other publications are written for the Journal of Integrative Environmental Sciences and the Environmental Research Letters.
