Jeanette O. Auman is a Program Director at RTI International leading the Clinical and Epidemiologic Data Systems Program. With over 25 years of experience, she is a recognized expert in digital informatics solutions for large-scale clinical trials and epidemiological studies. She designs regulatory-compliant platforms (GCP, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11) and leads multidisciplinary teams to develop systems to collect clinical, epidemiological, and real-world data across multi-site research networks.

Ms. Auman has held senior data management and technical leadership roles on numerous National Institutes of Health (NIH)-funded projects, including those supported by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD), the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI), the National Eye Institute (NEI), and Office of the Director. She currently leads the Data Management Core for the INCLUDE Down Syndrome Clinical Cohort Coordinating Center (DS-4C), where she oversees the development of software systems for data collection, harmonization and sharing across diverse data types supported by NIH’s Office of the Director. Additionally, she serves as the Clinical Data management and Informatics Lead for the NICHD-funded Neonatal Research Network (NRN) for which RTI has served as the DCC since 1993. Within that network, she also led the data management team of the NEI-funded Inositol for Retinopathy Trial. Jeanette further contributed as the Informatics Lead for the NHLBI-funded Collaborating Network of Networks for Evaluating COVID-19 and Therapeutic Strategies (CONNECTS) initiative, providing technical leadership across a multi-network platform.

Her work has advanced RTI’s capabilities in multiple electronic data capture (EDC) systems such as REDCap, integration of electronic health records (EHRs), medical imaging, and patient-reported outcomes. She has led the development of platforms that extract and standardize EHR data for longitudinal analysis and improving the quality of the data. She also develops capitation systems and web-based tools for collecting quality-of-life and health assessment data. She is a skilled SAS programmer and contributes to business development, oversees staff training and hiring, and has authored peer-reviewed publications on informatics innovation and data quality.
