RTI to support National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center to expand availability of dementia-capable services

RTI will offer expert technical assistance and continue to develop dementia-focused resources, including a webinar series

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. — RTI International, a nonprofit research institute, has been awarded a three-year, $5.5 million contract to continue its work supporting the Administration for Community Living (ACL) and its dementia grants through the National Alzheimer’s and Dementia Resource Center (NADRC).  As part of the new contract, RTI will extend its expert technical assistance to ACL and its grantees, guiding grantees as they develop and execute their grant activities.

In addition to offering technical assistance, RTI will continue to develop and moderate a dementia-focused webinar series. This resource-rich platform offers insights, strategies and best practices for addressing various dementia-related issues. RTI experts will also author dementia-focused publications and resources and make them accessible to a broad audience beyond the grantee community.

“The impact of dementia on people living with the disease, their caregivers, and communities continues to grow. RTI’s continuous partnership with ACL and its dedication to NADRC plays a pivotal role in improving dementia support and services,” said Sari Shuman, co-director of the NADRC and senior research public health analyst at RTI.

The mission of ACL’s dementia grant programs is to expand the availability of state and community dementia-capable services and support systems. This crucial work seeks to uplift individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, ensuring they receive care and assistance. RTI, which has served as the sole contractor for NADRC since 2004, continues to be at the forefront of this vital mission.
