Identifying and designing novel molecules to advance antimicrobial and antiviral drug discovery
We employ an integrated approach that combines advanced laboratory techniques with computational methods to drive the development of next-generation antibiotics and antiviral therapeutics. Our multidisciplinary team brings together expertise in bacterial genetics, biochemistry, next-generation sequencing, and natural product chemistry to identify and design promising antimicrobial candidates.
RTI’s Antiviral and Antimicrobial Drug Discovery Pipeline
Our drug discovery pipeline includes the creation of diverse compound libraries through both synthetic peptide chemistry and the strategic modification of naturally occurring bioactive molecules. These candidates undergo rigorous high-throughput screening to evaluate their efficacy against a broad spectrum of pathogenic microorganisms.
In parallel, we are harnessing natural biological mechanisms to develop innovative strategies for combating viral infections, expanding our capabilities across the antimicrobial landscape.
