Pradeepkumar Sharma has more than 19 years of experience developing technologies that enable cleaner, more sustainable energy production. His work helps governments and industry partners advance practical solutions that support energy security, industrial competitiveness, and long-term sustainability. His expertise spans coal and biomass gasification, syngas cleanup and conversion, carbon capture, blue hydrogen, sustainable fuels, chemicals production, green ammonia, catalysis, and process electrification. He also has extensive experience in process modeling, techno-economic analysis, and scale-up of emerging energy technologies from laboratory research through pilot and commercial deployment.

At RTI, Mr. Sharma serves as a technology leader, principal investigator, and lead process engineer on projects focused on decarbonization, advanced energy systems, and fuels production. He has led the development, integration, and scale-up of technologies for warm gas desulfurization, carbon capture, gas-to-liquids conversion, and hydrogen production, helping clients evaluate pathways to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and lower emissions. 

In addition to leading research programs, Mr. Sharma mentors early-career engineers and researchers and contributes to the broader scientific community as a journal reviewer, conference session chair, and technical presenter. He has authored or co-authored scientific publications, book chapters, patents, technical reports, and conference presentations focused on clean energy, hydrogen, catalysis, carbon capture, and gasification technologies.
