Nicole Jasperson

Nicole Jasperson is a Research Sociologist in the Corrections and Reentry Research Program within RTI's Justice Practice Area. She serves as an analyst on several projects, including a National Institute of Justice (NIJ)-funded evaluation of the Federal Bureau of Prisons reentry programs. She has specialized knowledge and practical experience in the areas of corrections and reentry policy and practice. Ms. Jasperson strives to provide research and evaluations through her knowledge of social science research methods, evaluation design, and quantitative and qualitative analytic skills.

Before joining RTI, Ms. Jasperson has previous research experience in the field of criminal justice institutions and sentencing policy. Under the University of Colorado – Colorado Springs and Colorado Department of Corrections, she completed data requests, data analysis, and research and evaluations for the prison population in Colorado. Under the Minnesota Sentencing Guidelines Commission, she researched and analyzed state sentencing policy. Ms. Jasperson has also worked as a criminal justice practitioner at several different institutions. Her research interests include barriers to reentry, recidivism, desistance, and leading quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis tasks.
