Megan Lindstrom is a spatial epidemiologist and public health researcher at RTI International whose work examines how social, environmental, and geographic factors shape health outcomes across populations, locations, and time. She applies spatial and spatiotemporal analysis, Bayesian modeling, network analysis, predictive modeling, artificial intelligence, and complex data integration across environmental health, cardiovascular disease, opioid use disorder and harm reduction, infectious disease, healthcare access, and health equity. Her research also explores the use of AI to strengthen public health research and practice, including AI-enabled systematic literature reviews and the design of community-oriented decision-support tools.

Before joining RTI International, Dr. Lindstrom was a research scientist with the Cardiovascular Health Metrics Program at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, where she contributed to the Global Burden of Disease study and led research on the global distribution of rheumatic heart disease. Her work has received recognition from the Information is Beautiful Awards and the Association of American Geographers, among other academic honors.
