Madeleine George is a public health research analyst in the Community Health and Implementation Research division at RTI. She has ten years of experience in social science research, expertise in psychological development, health behaviors, and translating scientific findings for broad audiences. Dr. George utilizes mixed qualitative and quantitative methods, community-based study designs, and rigorous evaluation techniques in her research. In addition, she has experience designing, administering, and analyzing intensive momentary and longitudinal studies, including large-scale ecological momentary assessment (EMA) studies.

Dr. George’s research has examined adolescents’ health, relationships, risk-taking, and digital technology use. In particular, her research investigates how the frequency and content of adolescents’ text messages and social media use relate to their offline behaviors and wellbeing. More recently, she has focused on health policy and program evaluation for federal and non-profit clients. She is interested in improving individual and population health by understanding social and policy contexts, digital and health equity, and social determinates of health.

Dr. George joined RTI International in 2020. She previously worked as a researcher and adjunct professor at Purdue University.
