Dr. Eric Francisco is the Head of Product Design for RTI Technology Ventures, a corporate strategic initiative that develops technology solutions and brings them to market. He leads UI/UX design and front‑end engineering for mobile and desktop applications, directing cross‑functional teams to deliver user‑centered digital products that accelerate innovation and generate client impact. Dr. Francisco applies strategic, detail‑oriented leadership and clear stakeholder communication to translate research and technical concepts into marketable solutions.

As an innovative and highly motivated designer, developer, and researcher, Dr. Francisco leads product design, UX strategy, and implementation across a growing product portfolio of several digital initiatives, including products such as RTI StudySense™️, WRAP®️, and RTI Aquantix™️.

Dr. Francisco also has experience in coordinating and overseeing small business operations, navigating and obtaining regulatory compliance, and developing and designing novel biomedical tools, exceptional web products, and marketing materials. With an extensive background in scientific research methods, grants and proposals, and writing peer-reviewed manuscripts, Dr. Francisco is a versatile and strategic leader, supporting projects through the product development lifecycle from concept through product launch.

Prior to joining RTI, Dr. Francisco served as Chief Operating Officer at Cortical Metrics, a biomedical startup spun out of research conducted during his doctoral studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Dr. Francisco has over a decade of experience in developing and designing novel biomedical tools and has an extensive background in scientific research methods.
