Elizabeth Robbins is a program director for Mobile and Web Applications Development within the Research Computing Division at RTI and is responsible for the implementation of some Institute of Museum and Library Services projects. She implements a survey that collects and analyzes information about each state’s library administrative agency and provides administrative management for the creation of a data warehouse with analysis tools to house agency data. For IMLS, she also oversaw a team following followed a user-centered design process to develop a web application for people to search for data about public libraries and compare data, see trends over time, and download data sets. She currently contributes to the National Institutes of Health’s Helping to End Addiction Long-term® Data Stewards team, supporting awardees in data management and adherence to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to accelerate data use for scientific discovery and program implementation.

For the Bureau of Justice Statistics, she has served as the systems task lead for establishment surveys such as Mortality in Correctional Institutions, the Census of Jails, the Annual Survey of Jails, and the Census of Adult Correctional Facilities. For these systems, she was responsible for the database and web application development for online data collection instruments, case management systems, and reporting tools.

 In addition, she leads a multi-disciplinary team of designers, developers, and subject matter experts for a variety of clients across government, academia, and the private sector. She is a skilled program director, software development manager, and applications developer who leads teams that develop data collection systems, web applications, and other digital products that support efforts to understand and improve the criminal justice system, our public library systems, and national and international public health efforts.
