David Dausch, PhD, Vice President of Engineering and Advanced Technology, leads a multi-disciplinary team of scientists and engineers who perform research in energy, environmental, and biomedical solutions for public and private sector clients. The team develops novel technologies and provides laboratory and engineering technical services that advance innovative energy solutions, improve human health, support military service members, mitigate environmental risk, and create a more sustainable future.

Dr. Dausch has more than 25 years of experience in R&D and technology commercialization. He led technology transfer and innovation capacity-building programs in the Middle East and helped launch a startup technology accelerator in the region focused on energy, advanced materials and sensor systems. He managed RTI’s SIGMA+ Health program sponsored by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to develop a wearable sensor system for presymptomatic detection of biological exposure.  He was the lead inventor of a novel intracardiac medical imaging technology and subsequently served as Chief Technology Officer of a startup company to commercialize the technology. His work has been published in more than 100 scientific and technical publications and presentations and in 17 U.S. patents.
