Barry D. Weaver, Jr.

Barry D. Weaver, Jr., has 25 years of experience in the treatment and research of behavioral health, including more than 19 years as a public health analyst and project manager at RTI. Mr. Weaver’s experience includes projects management, quality management, substance use treatment assessment and evaluation, substance use and mental health data analyses, data survey implementation, and site recruitment and retention.

He currently serves as the project manager for several behavioral health projects, including the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Abuse Program (COSSAP) State-Based Training and Technical Assistance Project and the Development and Evaluation of Tailored Sexual Assault and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Programs in Military Settings. For these projects, Mr. Weaver coordinates project communication, leads the production of progress reports, monitors task timelines and budgets, and oversees quality assurance processes. He has also been the project manager on several recent projects funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), including the Mental and Substance Use Disorder Prevalence Study and the National Analytic Center/Analytic Support Center.

Before joining RTI, Mr. Weaver spent seven years providing direct substance use and mental health treatment services at Roxbury Behavioral Health. He is a member of the Project Management Institute.
