Allyson M. Corbo is a public health scientist at RTI. She has extensive experience conducting rigorous policy research and program evaluation for a wide variety of stakeholders, with a focus on health equity and issues affecting underserved populations. Ms. Corbo has comprehensive training in and experience using behavior change theory and human-centered design principles to design, implement, and evaluate strategic health promotion and communication materials. She currently leads the UX research and user testing co-creation teams for RTI’s All of Us Research Program’s Engagement and Retention Innovator Award. This 5-year, NIH-funded award is focused on engaging health care providers and community members in the All of Us project, which aims to build the most diverse health database in history to advance understanding of genetic, behavioral, and environmental influences that interact to affect health.

Ms. Corbo is a skilled and experienced qualitative researcher, with more than seven years of experience leading interviews and focus groups with a wide variety of stakeholders and community populations. She also regularly designs qualitative interview and focus group guides, leads qualitative analyses, and reports qualitative findings for a range of audiences.

Ms. Corbo has conducted research and managed projects for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health, the Food and Drug Administration, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, the U.S. Department of Defense, and others. She has professional certifications in UX research, Scrum product ownership, and usability testing and is proficient in several qualitative coding programs, including NVivo, Atlas.ti, and Dedoose.
