Schuyler DeBree is a Communication Analyst at RTI International who uses community-engaged research strategies to understand the impact of public health and environmental issues on communities and develops tailored communication solutions to serve communities, partners, and clients.

Ms. DeBree has formative research, qualitative research, systems mapping, human-centered design, marketing, translational science, plain language, and digital media skills. Her diverse skill set can be applied to a range of topics, and she has experience in areas including environmental risk, climate communication, and public and mental health. Ms. DeBree is a certified Human-Centered Design Practitioner (LUMA Institute), which allows her to effectively design and facilitate workshops. She is also a Climate for Health Ambassador (American Public Health Association) which helps her communicate the connection between human health and the environment.

Ms. DeBree applies communication best practices, including strategic audience insight implementation, to her project work, such as We Think Twice, a youth-focused web and social campaign; RTI CleanPlus, RTI’s solution to identifying and eliminating environmental exposure which features a communication toolkit; and the World Trade Center Health Program, an outreach and education campaign with 9/11 survivors. Ms. DeBree also led an internal research project to optimize and evaluate AI prompts for developing qualitative research materials to improve project efficiency.
