Paul King

Paul King is an international development professional with two decades of technical, academic, and managerial experience. He brings a broad and deep understanding of the field of democracy and governance, and his principal focus has been on the public policy process. Mr. King has considerable experience working with legislative bodies at both the national and sub-national level, working with the executive branches of government and working with civil society organizations.

Mr. King currently serves as the Chief of Party for the USAID-funded Ocean Plastics Reduction Activity, a five-year project led by RTI that aims to reduce environmental plastics by decreasing plastic inputs and improving integrated solid waste management practices in both Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Prior to joining RTI in 2022, Mr. King served as COP for various USAID-funded programs, including Support to Democratic Governance and Accountability Project (SDGAP) in Sri Lanka, USAID Assistance to Legislative Bodies of Afghanistan project, and USAID/Uganda’s flagship Collaborating, Learning, and Adapting (CLA) project.
