Mr. Emanuel is a communications specialist with over 10 years of experience working with non-governmental organizations, with complementary skills in project management, public relations, advocacy, social behavior change communication, and proposal and project design and writing.

At RTI, Mr. Emanuel is leading the development of communication materials and project learnings under the USAID Jifunze Uelewe Activity. His focus is on the implementation of the communication strategy that aims at sharing program activities and accomplishments to stakeholders, including USAID, the Government of Tanzania, RTI, and others. Mr. Emanuel’s previous experience includes consulting assignments with two education programs in Tanzania: Cambridge Education Program (EQUIP-TZ) and USAID Tusome Pamoja, implemented by RTI, where he helped design activities and provided capacity building to media houses in mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar so that they are well equipped in producing quality radio programs with a focus on helping all children, including marginalized, get a quality education. Mr. Emanuel has a wide range of network with various local and international organizations, media firms and the government of Tanzania

Other experience includes working with Empower Society Transform Lives (ESTL) leading on proposal writing and supporting in designing and implementation of the organization’s communications and community engagement strategy. He also worked with BBC Media Action in providing overall strategic leadership on a literacy project that was funded by USAID. Prior to that Mr. Emanuel worked with Marie Stopes International in Tanzania, leading and managing the organization youth, community engagements & advocacy work with a focus on planning, implementation, community demand generation, event management, media engagements, designing of the organization’s behavior change communication materials (IEC/BCC), brand recognition and providing leadership in implementation of the organization youth strategy.

Mr. Emanuel is fluent in English and Swahili.
