Correction to aticle: The common indoor air pollutant α-pinene is metabolized to a genotoxic metabolite α-pinene oxide
Waidyanatha, S. W., Black, S. R., Witt, K., Fennell, T. R., Swartz, C., Recio, L., Watson, S. L., Patel, P., Fernando, R., & Rider, C. V. (2022). Correction to aticle: The common indoor air pollutant α-pinene is metabolized to a genotoxic metabolite α-pinene oxide. Xenobiotica, 52(9-11), I. https://doi.org/10.1080/00498254.2022.2154946
On page 305 under Metabolism of α-pinene to α-pinene oxide and clearance of α-pinene oxide in rat and human microsomes, paragraph 1, the authors have provided incorrect values for AUC. The sentence should be changed FROM “The AUC estimated from the α-pinene oxide concentration versus time curve was approximately 2-fold higher in rat microsomes (32.8 min*µM) than for human microsomes (14.0 min*µM).” TO “The AUC estimated from the α-pinene oxide concentration versus time curve was approximately 2-fold higher in rat microsomes (517 min*µM) than for human microsomes (216 min*µM).” This change does not impact the interpretation of the study results.
